Carl used this painting to try his hand at water mixable oil paints. This was based on a photograph taken by Carl's son-in-law Jeff in Puerto Vallarta this past Spring.

Carl was able to get more detail and realism in this painting than in his previous oil paintings. It took about 44 hours to complete this painting (this ended up being Carl's project for August and September 2004).
