Carl's son David is a professional truck driver. He drives over the road from coast to coast, living in his semi. In July 2003 David's son Sean got to go on the road with his dad, out to see the world. One of their stops was southern California. They spent several days with Carl and his wife Sharlene. They all went to Universal Studios theme park one day, and then to the ocean another. It turns out that Sean is quite a ham in front of a camera.
