This is one of Carl's oil paintings that he created following a demonstration of Bob Ross, "television's favorite artist" who is also known as "the Happy Painter." Bob teaches a wet on wet approach to mixing oil colors on the canvas. Carl said this was his Halloween project because the forest looked pretty mysterious. -------------------------------------- Carl says doing a Bob Ross style painting is lots of fun. It is fast and as Bob says "there are no mistakes, only happy surprises." Ross has has written many instruction manuals that show how to use wide, fast brush strokes to paint landscapes fast. Carl paints a Ross demonstration in two, 4 or 5 hour sessions. |
