It's Done! Carl completed the painting tonight by finishing up the rice reeds and making some last minute adjustments to the elements of the painting. Carl said the painting turned out differently than he planned, or expected - but it is an interesting interpretation of the sunset photo he took last summer in Minnesota.

This is one of those paintings that Carl will probably like more after he sets it aside for 30 days. He has about 40 hours of painting time in this one, and the whole time he was nose to nose up close with the canvas.
