"Quiet Reflections", Watercolor Painting

During tonight's session Carl added another layer of color. You can see he is also starting to play with the color values and contrasts in the horizon where the sun is. The watercolor is starting to show its drama with its unique ability to display deep pure colors.

Below is another image that shows how the painting values are comparing to the reference photo. Carl says he'll need at least another coat of color in the sky and water before he starts with the clouds and trees.

This project is being painted on an 11" X 24" Fredrix Watercolor Canvas Board.
