18" X 24" Stretched Canvas

During this evening's painting session Carl painted the sky across the top of the canvas. Actually after priming the canvas with white gesso acrylic, Carl did a loose sketch of the reference with pencil on the canvas. Then he mixed the sky color and painted it onto the area where the sky will show above the mountain range.

An original 18" X 24"  oil painting on stretched canvas using Winsor and Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oils.

This project based on a photograph Carl's brother's brother-in-law Lee Eichelberger took  while backpacking in Idaho.
