"Benediction", Oil Painting

Carl  added some grey paint to the clouds as he tried to find a general direction for developing this sunset. Water mixable paint is somewhat different from regular oil paint in that you need to add some water mixable stand oil to some of the colors. Each color has a little different consistency and black is particularly dry according to Carl.

This painting is being created on an 18" x 24" stretched canvas.

This project is an original oil painting based on a photograph Carl took while vacationing in Minnesota in 2005.
