Cougar, Acrylic Here you can see the drybrush technique developing if you look on the forehead of the Cougar. Although the shadow and color values are not developed properly yet, Carl discovered a course textured drybrush quality after finding the right brush and paint consistency. Carl has also added the underpainting to the eyes in this shot. This project is taken from a book authored by Kalon Baughan, "Painting the Faces of Wildlife"
