After another evening of painting Carl begins to experiment with color variations while further building the drybrush fur texture on the forehead. Inasmuch as this series of photos is taken at about 2 hour intervals you can see Carl's fascination with "playing" on this painting as opposed to some need to get it done (not too much difference from one shot to the next).

This project is taken from a book authored by Kalon Baughan, "Painting the Faces of Wildlife"
