This was one of many visitors Carl had at his cabin this year.

Carl likes the Coyote Cabin at the resort because it is off by itself and tends to have many critter visitors.

Got Peanuts?...

Carl has a soft spot for little fellows like this. He usually has some unsalted peanuts to hand out...

This little guy came around every afternoon. If Carl was late bringing out a peanut or two he'd peek up through the screen door into the cabin to see what was taking him so long.

And the weather was just ducky!

 Afternoon by the dock often produced the right conditions for a duck's nap.

Aspen Resort is a great place for city dwellers to enjoy some wildlife up close and personal. There are a lot of activities for kids at the resort. And when they're not doing crafts or involved in minnow races, they can feed the ducks and look at the fish in the shallows around the deck....
