 Carl's Summer Vacation 2005
Evenings on the Lake are Awesome!

About 9 pm each evening it's time to reach for the camera and see what unfolds. The sunset is usually around 9:15. And if there've been any storms it's going to be a pretty sunset, you can bet.

The people at the resort who know Carl know that at sunset He'll be out with his camera. Sometimes he's on the dock at the resort for the picture show. Other times he's in the boat out on the lake. Either was it is always pretty.

 State Rock at Sunset...

There is a great fishing spot out near a point called State Rock.

Carl said he enjoyed photographing wildlife and sunsets this year. If you want to see fish photos check out the pictures he took in previous years: (click here).

Monday's Sunset...

If you don't like the weather in Minnesota just wait 5 minutes...

One thing about the North Woods is how quickly the weather can change. You learn to go with the flow. Some days it can be really hot. Then, 24 hours later it can be 30 degrees cooler. And usually in all of this change there's a storm. This year there were a few nighttime thunderstorms that produced great sleeping weather.  .

 About to get wet...

When you glance up on a sunny day and see this heading your way, head for the shore because it's going to get wet!

The Lake is alive with change. Carl usually keeps a close eye on the weather because there have been times he didn't see clouds like the one above coming... and he got soaked!
